Although it wasn’t a very succesful album at the time, The Velvet Underground & Nico grew out to be one of the most prominent records of its era. The iconic banana cover by Warhol and eleven Rock’N’Roll and Avant-Garde tracks, was the source of inspiration for many music legends like David Bowie, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, Joy Division and Sonic Youth. And album that definitely deserves a tribute, a homage, a full night at Paard.

50 years ago, The Velvet Underground debuted with The Velvet Underground & Nico, one of the most influential records in the history of rock music. To celebrate this, the full album will be played live by an all-star formation, including Carol van Dyk (Bettie Serveert), Maurits Westerik (Bewilder), Henk Koorn (Hallo Venray), Jerry Hormone and The Tambles.
