Through the album you get a tour of the world through songs and compositions where her debut novel is set. With samples of obscure soul and jazz records, grand strings and wind instruments arrangements that effortlessly merge with her characteristic voice. It forms a particularly wonderful landscape in which inspiration was drawn from modernist poets and writers. Among other things, Spinvis cooperates on the album and on 20 November Aafke will perform at the Paardcafé.

In addition to being a singer, musician and songwriter, Aafke Romeijn is also a columnist, well-known Twitter character and author. Last year she released her science fiction novel “Concept M”, from which an album flourished and became the soundtrack of her book.
