The objective is to find Bach in metal and metal in Bach, and blur the lines between old and new, acoustic and electric, ethereal and brutal into an ever-flowing, ever-evolving kaleidoscope of beauty, power and constant surprise.

An encounter between Baroque polyphony, world music and metal, commissioned by the Bach Festival Dordrecht (NL). Extreme progressive metal band Alkaloid (D / NL) team up with classical virtuosos from the Netherlands to form a hybrid 11-piece ensemble, offering both larger and smaller works of J.S.Bach and own material in surprising versions created especially for this event.
