Benjamin Herman’s insightful diverse musical output includes traditional jazz, punk jazz, film scores and postmodern interpretations of the work of composer Misha Mengelberg. The common thread in his work is his search for a recognizable and personal sax sound. On his new album he continues this quest and dives deeper into the music that fascinated him in his childhood. Benjamin Herman’s oeuvre includes numerous collaborations with vocalists, poets and instrumentalists from all over the world.
