Support: UnterweltenJohannes Sigmund, more commonly referred to as Blaudzun, had his breakthrough in 2012, with the release of his nationally and internationally praised third album 'Heavy Flowers'.Could it have gone any better than this? With the release of his album 'Seadrift Soundmachine' in 2010, Blaudzun started conquering the bigger stages and festivals in The Netherlands, including Lowlands. Heavy Flowers, which was also released in the United States, creates the buzz that Blaudzun had been looking for, skyrocketing his popularity. He has been playing sold out shows in The Netherlands and Belgium for two years now, and has even played festivals in the United States as well as all over Europe. Moreover, a 3voor12 Award for Best Album, a 3FM Award for Best Alternative Act, and eventually and Edison for Best Male Artist, increased his popularity and status even further.Creating the perfect songsThe majority of songs on his new album 'Promises Of No Man's Land' were created during Blaudzun's tour. When Blaudzun was not performing on stage, he would be writing and perfecting his melodies. "The big heap of ideas were formed into songs a while later in Barcelona, South France and Berlin, but the real finalizing of the songs was done in the studio. I wanted to keep all options open for as long as possible. That way you keep the feeling as a musician that you can choose from lots of ideas to create the perfect song in the end."
