Bob Log III is a one-man-band. He manages to play slide-guitar while kicking his drum, and balancing two women on his lap, all at the same time. You possibly understand this isn’t for tender souls. And otherwise you’ll understand when you’ve seen the titles of his songs. ‘Boob Scotch’, ‘Bubble Strut’ and ‘My Shit Is Perfect’ and you’ll begin to get the gist. It is loud and strange and electrifying, and how ecstatic it all sounds, that guitar is glazed with a kind of sublime and honey-dipped happiness.
One would have to be in a pretty foul mood not to be entertained by the mysterious awesomeness of Bob Log III. Sure, his musical skills are something to behold, his one-man-band brand of blues/Americana displaying dexterity, creativity, and plenty of good old rock & roll. What Bob Log III brings is indescribable, you need to experience it.
