Dabke Night

Friday 16 November 2018 2018

Just imagine a hot summer night where you go outside in the street to catch some fresh air- and then you hear the drums starting to play that familiar beat. The rules are simple: grab a hand and lean into the dance of Dabke; the traditional folk dance from the Levant area (Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon).

Matrub مطروب brings a mix of steamy dabke from all over the Levant: Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Kurdistan, supplemented with thick floor fillers from all over the Arab world.

The guest DJ of the evening is DJ / Producer Prace. He is guest DJ of Yallah Yallah and is known for his live productions with the Iraqi Sattar al Saadi, with whom he performed at the Moroccan Atlas Electronic Festival.

And we will pamper you- as always- with the best possible home-made Syrian food to enjoy in our pop-up restaurant.
