DARK ROOMS

Monday 15 October 2018 2018

There are bands whose sound is almost indescribable, who take you to another world. Dark Rooms is such a band. It is intense without losing the atmosphere. It is related to the heroes of the band members as Sigur Rós, Zapp and The Delfonics, but sometimes there are gusts of post-rock band Four Tet, and a glimpse of the 70s R&B. Dark Rooms is quirky, catchy and imaginative at the same time.

Musician and film composer Daniel Hart is trained as a classical violinist, and after tours and recordings with bands like St. Vincent, Other Lives, The Rosebuds, Swans, Broken Social Scene, John Vanderslice, and The Polyphonic Spree it was time for his own project. Dark Rooms was founded. Now that their latest album ‘Distraction Sickness’ is out (including ‘I Get Overwelmemed’) it is about time that they play it live in The Hague. It will be a special night on the 15th of October at the Paardcafé.
