Doe Maar unleashed a true craze in The Netherlands in the early 80s that was similar to that of The Beatles in their heydey. The band scored many big hits such as Doris Day, Is Dit Alles, De Bom, 1 Nacht Alleen and Pa. In 1984 the pop group quit, but in 2000 they made a comeback and played sixteen shows in Ahoy, Rotterdam.

In 2018, the forty-year anniversary of Doe Maar was celebrated with an sold-out club tour. They also played in PAARD last year and made the crowd hearts beat faster and sing along loudly. The gentlemen liked the club tour so much they’re doing it again! On October 20 2020 Doe Maar brings the Lijf aan Lijf tour to PAARD. “The four of us, body to body, together with our trusted brass section on such a small stage. I’m already looking forward to it!”, says lead singer Henny Vrienten.
