DOUWE BOB

Support: Hans HannemannAlthough Douwe Bob is only 23 years old, his songs are surprisingly profound  in sixties-, seventies-, folk- and rockstyle. Exactly the reason why the young singer was awarded for "The Best Singer Songwriter" in the eponymous television in 2012. And in recent years he turned that title more than worthy: he worked with Anouk (Hold Me), he achieved a number one spot of the Top 100 albums ( 'Pass It On') and he played for sold out venues. Oh, and next year he represents our country in the Eurovision Song Contest.

In May, Douwe Bob launches his third album, ‘Fool Bar’. To celebrate the release of this album, he will play at Paard van Troje on November 11. And he is looking forward to it, just as much as we are: “Playing live is the best thing there is, I get in the van with my musical friends and we tell our stories to the audience. I will certainly play my sensitive songs, but it always ends with a big party. “

On March 16 Douwe Bob wins the Schaal van Rigter, the award for most played single of the year (2015) for his song ‘Sweet Sunshine. In May 2015, the single was already voted 3FM Megahit. Douwe Bob also have a chance to three other 3FM Awards, for Best Singer, Best Pop and Best Single, also for the track Sweet Sunshine. On March 21, Douwe Bob also wins the Edison Pop price.
