The hits ‘Danger! High Voltage’ and ‘Gay Bar’ were a raving succes and are anno 2014 still favorites in any pub or club. With a healthy dose of self-mockery and songs that are, according to the band, ‘basically about nothing’, Electric Six have managed to put themselves in a global spotlight.
The band always had a fetish for weird stuff. An album title like ‘I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master’ shall not be forgotten soon, will it? Smart move, guys! The band was formed in 1998, but its star only rose to fame in 2003 with the launch of single ‘Danger! High Voltage’.
Electric Six released its ninth album, ‘Mustang’, in october 2013 and entails a new load of their typical rock ‘n roll attitude. The song titles leave nothing to the imagination with tracks such as ‘Jessica Dresses Like A Dragon’, ‘I Never F***** Her’ and ‘Late Night Obama Food’ (ok, so maybe we’re a bit curious of the taste of this). Raging guitarrifs. Classic singalongs. We can’t wait for this party to start!
