Gerson began his musical career as a guitarist in the bands of Dio, Akwasi and Typhoon, among others. In 2015, he broke through on his own thanks to his participation in De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland. His debut album De Slechtste Singer-Songwriter Van Nederland received rave reviews. He also created several theatre performances and wrote for artists such as Sef, Shirma Rouse and Stef Bos.
On 1 October 2024, Gerson released his second studio album Weg van dit feest. This personal, musical and narrative work revolves around the question, ‘How did I end up here and why is it so scary to get older?’ Before playing a theatre show in 2026 with this album, Gerson will tour nursing homes in 2024, followed by a pop venue and festival tour in 2025.
