That the temperatures will rise this summer is a certainty on August 27. From our own city we have the hottest boy band of the moment: Goldband. It was written in the stars, 2020 would be their year. The hits like “Uber Uber”, “Witte Was” and “Alles Kapot” followed faster than you can pronounce COVID-19 and it is rumored that they will drop their new single a week before the start.

The Amsterdam folk singer, Sophie Street, also shines. A double billing that you can only nod yes to. In our opinion, this is an absolute no-brainer, because you cannot (and should) not miss it!

SOPHIE STREET
The Dutch folk singer Sophie Straat grew up in the late nineties in the former working-class neighborhood, but in the meanwhile, the Pijp. Nowadays she writes together with her partner Wieger about the effects of gentrification in Amsterdam. In her songs you get a glimpse into the lives of the green cargo bike owner, the Zuidas worker and the child who just moved to Amsterdam Noord.
