Key figure of the Riot Grrrl movement. Standard bearer in the No-Scene. Heroine of the NY underground. Yes, Lydia Lunch is a lot of things. This artistic centipede gave her heart in her own established bands like Teenage Jesus and The Jerks, her soul & happiness in spoken-word poetry and yes, you can expect her complete surrender for this Suicide tribute too. The icon joins forces with Marc Hurtado.
Not only is he, just like Lunch, close to the band members of Suicide and he regularly collaborates with them, he is also a musician, painter, and impressive filmmaker. Especially the latter comes in handy tonight. During the performance, his impressive kaleidoscopic film ‘INFINITE DREAMERS’, a portrait of Suicide band members Alan Vega and Martin Rev, is shown.
Tribute? Call it a ceremony. It will certainly be impressive.
