Before Homeboy Sandman (Angel Del Villar II) chose a career in music , he studied law. A good career switch because the press fell in love with his funky beats and strong and straight-forward lyrics. Rolling Stone already names his "skill for wordplay that keeps you hooked" , but Pitchfork was even more enthusiastic, saying that he is one of the purest writers at the time.
