During the 1990’s, singer-songwriter James Walsh is just a student in his school choir when he’s approached by bassist James Stelfox and drummer Ben Byrne to fill in for the lead singer in their college band Waterface. Within a couple of years Waterface undergoes a metamorphosis from unknown college band to the internationally acclaimed britpop-sensation Starsailor.
Not too long after Starsailor signs with EMI, the band makes a tremendous breakthrough with their platinum-album ‘Love is Here’ making Starsailor a household name and one of the most sought after acts in the international alt-rock scene. Almost instantly, Starsailor isn’t playing in obscure cafe’s anymore but in sold out venues over the globe.
After four successful albums and a couple of hundred performances Starsailor has decided to take a much needed break. However, this doesn’t mean that James Walsh will be stepping out of the limelight. The British singer-songwriter is concentrating on his solo-project for which he collaborated with Ricky Ross, Sasha Scarbeck and Suzanne Vega.
