Big Brother and the Holding Company is a American rockband; their bandmembers can be seen as the pioneers of psychedelic blues! Everybody is familliar with the classics ‘Down On Me’ and ‘Piece Of My heart’ as Janis Joplin songs, but this band she was part of deserves just as much honour. The legendary album Cheap Thrills was called one of the 500 best albums ever by the famous magazine ‘Rolling Stone’. Powerfull bluesrock of the highest order!
