Live this is interpreted in a fantastic way, with the unparalleled “Mo” (Monique Harcum, USA/BE) and her colleague, with the warmest voice you could imagine, Sam Merrick (UK) on vocals. Add an intimidating rhythm section on top of that (Nathan Wouters on bass, Jens Bouttery on drums) and Jef’s brother, Teus Nobel on trumpet, and let that gang be driven by the man whose fire and passion oozes from the piano, and you’ll be understanding what is meant by That Old Feeling.

PROJAZZ DOWNTOWN FESTIVAL
With the brand new DownTown festival, ProJazz is taking the next to develop a successful Cutting Edge festival.
This year, the multi-day festival will take place in and around the center in familiar and lesser known places
ProJazz Downtown festival offers space for contemporary jazz, crosses (musical) boundaries and does not shy away from a daring ‘flirt’ with other styles and art forms. . The program is currently still under development, but we can already reveal a number of names!
The festival kicks off on May 18th with ‘the Belgian day’ in PAARD. With Jeff Neve, connector of jazz and classical music, followed by an Impro-Noise Double bill: Don Kapot & MDC III.
On May 20th, Sanne Rambags will pay tribute to ‘sisterhood’ in which she proves her qualities as a singer-songwriter.
