The first four words of her most famous song Dans Op Het Mes capture the theme of Jet van der Steen’s brand new EP: Alles Komt, Alles Gaat. Everything can come at you quickly in life and leave just as fast, like people, experiences, and the memories tied to them. The art is in keeping yourself grounded amidst it all. The search for this balance is central to her EP, which will be released on November 22nd.
Meet FLORA, a rising star in the alt-pop scene. With two EPs to her name and more music in the pipeline, FLORA sets herself apart by intertwining electronic sounds with autobiographical experiences. ‘Songwriting and producing are ways for me to process my experiences. It helps me get a grip on my thoughts and emotions,’ FLORA says. ‘It feels like therapy, but with a beat.’
