No one who can translate the Icelandic landscapes in music better than Jóhann Jóhannsson. Breathtaking views, beautiful firmaments and warm mittens appear when the eyes are closed and Jóhannssons fingers hit the paino keys. Cellist Hildur Gudnadottir is member of the Icelandic Group múm, and played at festivals such as Berlin Ruft An and Todays Art. Dark, yet fragile soundscapes by a fascinating duo. “It will also, in a strange way, make me look forward to another blistery winter, hopefully with this playing on my friend’s stereo as we watch the first snowfall.” – Dusted Magazine“This is moving music. And fairly easy to get into for people who think they’re afraid of classical orchestral music.” – Music by Day
