Allen on his new album:
‘The last few years have felt like a pressure cooker slowly increasing to boiling point. There is a sense of threat and a feeling of impending doom. Living in a large urban centre during a global pandemic brought out a sense of paranoia. We became more aware of our need for space, our need for silence and to be close to nature to get above the noise of a city. ‘
Support: Acantha Lang
The evening will be supported by New Orleans-born (and London-based) Grammy-nominated soul artist Acantha Lang, who has been compared to legends Aretha Franklin & Gladys Knight. Her performance will consist of songs from her critically acclaimed debut album “Beautiful Dreams,” which reached #3 in the Official UK Jazz & Blues Album Chart.
