Sadly, we can no longer enjoy the iconic Joy Division formation live, but there has been a great alternative called Joy Division Undercover for over 15 years. This is not a bland reenactment band with costume parties, but a group of musicians who intensely love this music and bring it to the limelight with all due respect. An apt quote from the press reads, “Close your eyes and you hear Joy Division, close your eyes and you feel Joy Division.” The band, which also performs outside our national borders, has built up a loyal following of its own over the years who will wholeheartedly agree. During the current tour, the band will play the album Closer in full (plus other highlights from the JD repertoire) and commemorate the life of Ian Curtis. They will be at the Kleine Zaal on 8 May 2025!
That it is going to be a memorable evening, you can’t expect otherwise with top musicians like Henk Koorn (Hallo Venray) on guitar and Erny Green (The Eternal, Kaspar Baum) on vocals. Once again, this tour, the band hopes to sell-out venues with a nice mix of veterans and new young fans embracing the repertoire.
