KLITFEST

Saturday 26 October

Klitfest celebrates the diversity of the underground scene in a plethora of musical genres. Post-punk, dub and indie come together here. On 26 October, in addition to The Klittens, The Homesick and Cocococaine (and more, tba) will be on Paard’s stage. The common ground between these musicians is their DIY mentality and this will be platformed at Klitfest.

The first edition was a playground for musical discovery and took place in a sold-out Cinetol, Amsterdam. For this second edition, Paard and The Klittens join forces. Come join The Klittens and their friends at Klitfest for a night in their sonar dream world.

This event is part of De Haagse Popweek.

The Homesick
The Homesick fuses post-punk rhythms with melodic whimsical pop into an experimental blend of great songs. The band has been around since their first EP Television from 2013 and released their debut album Youth Hunt (Subroutine) in 2017. The Homesick takes everyone by surprise with the single Soola. As the song kicks in it’s clear that The Homesick took a different swing for their upcoming album.

Recently formed in The Hague, COCO COCAINE is the brainchild of Luna Becking and Kate Oram, two visionaries who found a common passion for pushing musical boundaries. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, they bring a rich tapestry of influences to their collaboration, ranging from feminine post-punk to the electrifying beats of house, gabber and tekno.

Since their birth in 2018 The Klittens have climbed from the cracks of the underground indie and onto some acclaimed stages. Mixing the catchiness of pop and fuzz with a hint of dark post punk, they’ve crafted a sound that’s truly and twistedly their own.
