Lee “Scratch” Perry started off his career as Little Lee Perry, a DJ for the Jamaican DJ-collective Downbeat Sound System. After his début with “The Chicken Scratch” through the Coxsone Dodd label during the sixties he became known as Scratch Perry. A reggae legend was born…

During his career at Studio One Lee Perry worked as a producer and with a few different Jamaican hits on his name. He worked with a number of the most influential musicians within the reggae and dub genres, among which were Bob Marley, Justin Hines, Delroy Wilson and Shenley Dufus. Nearly all successful artist in the history of this genre had worked with Perry at one point.

Lee Perry can still be considered a great artist and seems to be increasingly more energetic on stage over the years. This calls for a good-old-fashioned reggae party. Are you in?

Meta and The Cornerstones is a reggae band from New York with a Senegal singer, an Israeli guitarist, a Japanese keyboard player, a Mexican second guitarist and a Jamaican drummer and bassist. Because of this lovely mix of cultures the band has an international feel and sound, which is very differentiating from other more standard reggae bands. The colourful band has worked with none other than Damian Marley.
