In the early 00’s the new album Retroglide is released, follwed by the CD box Living It Up and a live DVD in honor of the band’s 30th anniversary. The band is also going on tour again and they show with class that they have taken a new path, 40 years after its foundation, the band has emerged as a playful jazz funk band.

Level 42 — known for their songs Love Games, Hot Water and Lessons In Love — breaks through in the late 1980s with the album Running In The Family. Although the band split up earlier, Mark King made a new start in 2001 in consultation with Mike Lindup and started performing again under the name Level 42. On November 6 2023, the jazz-funk greats can be admired in PAARD.
