On personal level, singer Michelle David went through a tough time in the beginning of 2019, because she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily she found out in time and everything seems to be going well now. The energy she gets from her music is noticable in her lyrics. On their third album they showed their predilection for soul, funk and afrobeat. The heartwarming lyrics gave the crowd a message of love and power.

Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions are returning to PAARD! They went on a search to find the origin of gospel for their new material. It resulted in a new album with noticable effects from West-Africa and the Caribbean: a combative, adventurous and victorious sound. You’ll hear it on March 6th in our small venue.
