After the first studio album and shows around Holland, it became clear to the musicians that gospel has never been forgotten and The Gospel Sessions was more than just a project. Several succesful performances at festivals and music venues all over the country led to a whole new album: The Gospel Sessions, Vol. 2. The record is more personal than the first one: it consists of several songs that are part of Michelle David’s life, like the traditional ‘Tradewinds’. It was the first solo song the American singer ever sang in a church, at the young age of five. Now the singer and her musicians are back in a church, de Nieuwe Kerk (the New Church) to be exact, to sing this hymn again for a memorabel performance for audience and artists.
