NADA SURF

Thursday 13 March 2025

Nada Surf, the witty and melodic rock band, gained cult status in the 1990s with their alt-rock anthem ‘Popular.’ From their Ric Ocasek-produced 1996 debut album High/Low, the band grew into an influential name in indie rock. With a keen eye for lyrics and a highly developed sense of melody, Nada Surf has refined their sound over the years. This brought them not only praise, but also a loyal fan base. Their unique approach culminated in 2016 with the concert album Peaceful Ghosts, where the collaboration with the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg gave their work a symphonic dimension. On 13 March 2025, this influential indie rock band will perform at the Grolsch Zaal!

Nada Surf’s discography reflects continued artistic growth. The debut High/Low was followed by albums like Let Go and The Weight Is a Gift, which highlighted the emotional depth of their music. With 2020’s You Know Who You Are and the philosophical Never Not Together, the band showed how they continue to enrich their music. In 2021, they released the EP Cycle Through, and in 2024 they returned with Moon Mirror, exploring new musical realms.

Support: Elephant
Elephant, Rotterdam’s protean purveyors of silver-toned songs, forge their melodic indie rockwith light and darkness, calm and intensity. What starts off indrawn and dreamy, could easilyerupt into a fiery solo. The four friends are dogged optimists, buteven Elephant gets it undertheir skin sometimes.
