Niels Geusebroek was singer in Silkstone, a popular Dutch band who performed at festivals Pinkpop and Lowlands. In 2011 he focusses on his solo career by auditioning for Dutch tv show ‘The Voice Of Holland‘. The general public is immediately crazy about his awesome cover of Coldplay‘s ‘Trouble’. Quite understandable: Geusebroek has a very pleasant voice which actually sounds like Chris Martin. With three (!) hits in his pocket, he reached the semifinals.
Hitmachine
Who thinks that it became quiet around the singer after The Voice, is wrong. Take ‘Year of Summer’, the Wildstylez track where Geusebroek was responsible for the vocals. The result? An utter summer hit with ‘gold record status’ the first hardstyle track ever that reached the Top40. Also ‘Take Your Time Girl’, a song that is inspired by the heartbeat of an unborn child, had its effect on the Netherlands. After the song was heard on Radio 538 as an experiment, countless touched listeners place the song to a number 1 position on iTunes.
Brand new album
On debut album ‘Lines’ (“a pure, traditional singer-songwriter record”) he writes, composes and he makes music from the heart. In the beginning of 2016 a brand new album is expected. Enough reasons to get this best man to Paard van Troje in March 2016!
