Paardcafé: Color Bones

COLOR BONES is an indie rock trio with Mo Assem on guitar
and vocals, Sjaak van Dam on drums, and Martijn Engels op
bass. The creative process takes place in an old bunker
Utrecht. 2018 saw the first album called Vermillion
the light. The second album, Ultramarine, will be released in 2021.
In September 2023, the third album, called Cadmium,
hatched. The first single from this album, Borders, became
well received with airplay on KinkFM and inclusion in
playlists curated by Spotify.
COLOR BONES is influenced by Radiohead, Balthazar,
Spoon and dEUS, but also takes inspiration from skate culture,
improvisation with hanging drums and synthesizers, visual media,
animation films and philosophy. Always accompanied by mugs of coffee,
black as humanity itself.
