HYST (the artistic alter ego of Lynn van Heijst) renews dreamy Dutch pop music with raw emotion and a mature, layered sound. Where her previous work already balanced between vulnerable melodies and powerful beats, HYST’s music now takes on a deeper dimension. Lynn combines her pure voice with atmospheric piano and dynamic synths, in which beats build up the tension and each layer of the music tells a new story.

Her lyrics touch deeper and reflect on themes such as self-discovery, transience, and resilience, in which she does not shy away from any dark side. Metaphorical and mysterious, but always sincere and to the point. HYST continues to grow, both in sound and theme, and knows how to create an intimate atmosphere that discharges in compelling, epic endings. The new releases show a maturity that leaves even more room for experiment and intensity – for fans of pop music that touches and lingers.
