Meavy is about bringing back sensitivity to society. As an introverted art figure his music embraces vulnerability and fragility.
While studying at the Herman Brood Academie he decided to put his songwriting into practice. Coming from a family existing out of actors, painters and writers, Moos got in touch by the arts from a young age and got loads of inspiration when he grew up in this multi-artistic environment. Alongside his Meavy work, Moos currently studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, composes music for theatre and advertisement, and is playing as a session musician for Lien A and DIFFER.
You probably don’t know the name Sam Vano yet. That’s understandable, because he’s only just arrived
walk around the corner. You may know him as Sam van Ommen, previously at Sam & Julia, now
as a guitarist with Tim Knol. But this year his first work as a solo artist was released, the EP solitaire,
in which we hear the most honest and unfiltered version of Sam for the first time. And this one
version seems to be catching on; after a sold out release show, he played a number of shows
England as support act for Victoria Canal, he recorded a session with The Influences and
he is already busy with the next album, which will be released in the autumn of 2024.
