Paardcafé: Tamarae

Based in Paris, Tamarae is a singer, guitarist, and producer from the Netherlands. She grew up in a small town called Enschede in a multicultural family with
a Hungarian mother and a Dutch father. After completing her studies in jazz vocals with a minor in jazz guitar at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, shepursued a production course at the Wisseloord Academy.
In 2023, she moved to Paris to take on a new challenge. She creates music that reflects a journey of growth and discovery, sharing introspective experiences in a relatable way, with a mix of dreamy guitar sounds and ethereal vocals that take you deeper into the undercurrents.
She blends elements of jazz, soul, R&B, and bossa nova, inspired by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lianne La Havas, and Kendrick Lamar. Her latest EP, ‘Dreams’, released in April 2024, explores the depths of emotions and experiences during the pandemic. She was the opening act for Alfa Mist.
In 2022, Tamarae marked her musical journey with the release of her debut album, “The Ocean Knows,”celebrated with a physical CD release.
