Paardcafé: VOS

VOS is the new Zeeland Indie pop with songs that seem to float a little above the ground. Fortunately, the band of singer, lyricist and multi-instrumentalist René Geelhoed keeps its feet firmly in the grass with fiery guitar riffs and catchy choruses. The single ‘Zeeland’ already created a heat wave behind the polder dike last summer.

In this way, the lyrics of VOS touch on love and the Zeeland cradle. They seek balance amidst the great issues of life, without losing sight of the freedom of rock ‘n roll for a moment. As 3VOOR12 says: “As if Henny Vrienten of Doe Maar ended up in the studio with The Beatles”.

For the upcoming debut album, VOS was inspired by a number of greats, such as Clouseau, Lucky Fonz and The Scene. René took the production into his own hands and completed the album together with the Flemish master mixer Werner Pensaert.
