Paceshifters, an alternative rock band with stadium rock allure, a touch of shoegaze, and a dose of post-punk, is coming to PAARD on Wednesday, March 5th. Their new album, Out-and-Outer, was released this past summer. The album tells a story centered around themes that resonate universally: reflecting on the past, time catching up with you, grief, and self-destruction.
Paceshifters, the band known for their explosive live performances, has taken a leap with their new album: it’s crafted for listening in the living room rather than being solely geared toward a live sensation.

With a shared love for bands like Joy Division, Radiohead, and My Bloody Valentine, they began creating music that fused the genres they were most passionate about: post-punk and shoegaze, with touches of folk, electronica, hardcore, and ambient. Their poetic lyrics, reflecting on existentialism, nostalgia, and the turbulence of modern life, add a profound and evocative layer to their music, inviting listeners into an icy and introspective soundscape.
