Support: IslandLondon four-piece Palace is in no hurry whatsoever, which reverberates through their laid-back, sexy space rock, with shades of soul and blues, sung in a native London accent. Just after their debut EP Lost in the Night saw the first light of day, the band was personally invited to support British singer-songwriter Jamie T on his tour. Not much later, Ghostpoet was next to drag them along, playing all around Europe. ‘Sounds like early Black Keys jamming with Foals’, M Magazine boldly stated.‘One of our favourite new bands.’ – Huw Stephens‘spacious, romantic pop’ – DIY‘an echo drenched sound reminiscent of early Foals’ – Guardian‘somewhere between Jeff Buckley and Kings of Leon.’ – Times‘Possible successors to The Maccabees… Palace deal in theatrical melodies to tingle the spine.’ – NME‘darkly beautiful, with twilight seeming to break through every note.’ – Clash’Languid and shimmery… the sweet-sad spot between indie emo and Sixties blues’ – Rolling Stone

Island
Dreaming Of’, out today, is the 3rd single from the band’s new EP due later this month. Loaded with the arenabaiting atmosphere of a magical inter-band chemistry, and the gigantic hooks we’ve come to expect, it’s the sound of ISLAND coming into maturity, ready to take the baton from groups like Foals and Bombay Bicycle Club with their heady and cerebral take on pop. They headline the1,000 capacity Heaven in May and will continue sure-footed as the leaders in an exciting new crop of young British indie artists who have the nous to place the genre back in the cultural limelight. .
