POEZIE: ARMOEDEBROOD

A vibrant celebration of literature in PAARD! Lovers and word artists meet during Poëzie: Armoedebrood. It produces an evening of poetry, with renowned poets and up-and-coming (The Hague) talent. A test of poverty: does heavy literary, inspirational or interactive poverty exist in the country? Does word art still have the power to comfort, play, abrade or reflect?

Poverty Bread showcases the inspiration of literature, partly on behalf of poetry-loving The Hague: those selected from the poetry competition display their winning poem on stage. They attended a ‘superclass’ by Tsead Bruinja.

With an extraordinary programme – including a sensory refreshment – language richness is guaranteed to be found.

The program includes Astrid Lampe, Ingmar Heytze, Daniëlle Zawadi, Sophia Blyden, Lemuel de Graav, Florence Tonk and Daan Doesborgh, among others.
