Newman started his singing career in his teenage years. In 1968 he brought out his first self titled album: Randy Newman. In the meantime he has received many awards, among which seven Grammy’s, three Emmy’s, two Academy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

With numbers that variate from heatbreaking to satirically, a large amount of unforgettable filmscores and seven Grammy Awards, musician and composer Randy Newman has proven his talent the past years very well. Besides his much praised solo albums (12 Songs, Sail Away and Harps and Angels) and many international tours, Newman composes music for films like The Natural, Toy Story and A Bug’s Life. On June 2nd 2020 Newman will perform at the Zuiderstrandtheater.
