RUBEN HEIN

Ruben Hein, a pianist who turned out to be an excellent singer as well, has brought out his second album on Blue Note Records. With ‘Hopscotch’ he means to say he took that one extra jump, like the equally named child’s game. It’s not a jazzrecord or a popalbum, nor is it his vision on funky afropop. It’s a little bit of these styles mixed together, but thought out thoroughly. Ruben took his time to sit down and put it all together.
