Saman’s versatility as a performer is unprecedented. An interdisciplinary artist, he moves effortlessly between music, theatre, cabaret and film. Together with production house Black Sheep Can Fly, Saman has created seven shows in the past decade. His work has repeatedly received national and international acclaim. His successful show “Saman Amini’s Integration Plan” was among the best cabaret shows of 2022. For his lead role in the film “Sacred Defense”, he received the US CILECT Award. His music video “Allow Me” was nominated for an Edison Award, and he performed at festivals such as Lowlands and Oerol. He has also released 11 singles in recent years and starred in Sevdaliza’s music video “THE FORMULA”, among others. Last year, he won the Charlotte Köhler Prize for his poignant lyrics, among other things, and released his first EP, “Rebel With A Reason”.

In “Onaantastbaar”, Saman Amini breaks one of the biggest taboos of our time: depression and its devastating impact. “Onaantastbaar” interweaves raw and vulnerable songs from various musical genres, ranging from conscious hip-hop to melodic pop. Drawing on his own experiences, Saman invites listeners to embrace their own struggles as well as those of fellow human beings and break the taboo around depression. He bares his soul in a show where music and story effortlessly merge into a breathtaking experience about his journey away from depression. The concert is enriched by three virtuoso musicians: Martin Verheesen, Chelsea Laverne and Jelle Huibers. He will be at GR8 on 15 November!
