SEASICK STEVE

Monday 4 November 2024 2024

On New Year’s Eve 2006, an unknown American singer/songwriter made music history with a discarded Japanese guitar with only three strings and an old wooden box to stomp on. No one was more surprised than Seasick Steve himself by the overwhelming reception he has had since that night in 2006.

Seasick Steve has played almost every major festival in the world, sold out countless tours and visited legendary venues such as Wembley Arena in 2016 and two nights at the Royal Albert Hall in 2014, taking his collection of homemade guitars and his drummer, the crazy Dan Magnusson, on an adventure. Seasick Steve has sold nearly 2 million records worldwide, with three top 10 albums in the official UK album chart. His new record ‘A Trip A Stumble A Fall Down on Your Knees’ will be released on 7 June 2024 via So Recordings and is available to pre-order now. The album is Steve’s favourite record to date, and he is as excited as ever to travel the world playing songs from the album in 2024 and beyond. Steve says: “This album was made by accident, as the title suggests we just stumbled into it, it became my favourite album ever and the work I’m most proud of so far. Not a week goes by that I don’t thank my luck for that night at the Hootenanny, which brought us here to this album.”

Seasick Steve can be seen at the Great Hall on Monday 4 November 2024!
