SINASpetite is a 'petite' part of the Dutch group Sinas. These three musicians are well-known for their exciting mix of genres: balkan, afrobeat, cumbia, Dub, Raï, funk and dance.SINAS: Since 2008SINAS released their debut album 'Global Explorations'in 2008, after which numerous gigs on festivals and venues followed. They had national airplay and recorded sessions for VPRO Radio and NPS/Cultura 24. Their successor, 'Intergalactic Freedom'(2010), got raving reviews and positive feedback from their fans. From large to smallBand leader and Saxophonist Wouter Schueler is now taking a different approach and reduces the band to a trio.
The music is still typical SINAS, but has got a more open, psychedelic atmosphere to it. The album was recorded live, which gave room for a lot of interaction and creativity and resulted in the lively ‘Petite’.
