STU LARSEN

Saturday 21 February 2015 2015

Support: Jed AppletonStu Larsen sings romantic stories about travelling. With a restless soul of a globetrotter, a guitar and a backpack, this Australian travels across the world. Stu Larsen has no fixed address, no job and few possessions - just a handful of generous friends who let him sleep on their floor or couch, or in their spare room as he ventures onward. Stu lives of bluesfolk, inspired by great artists such as Dylan, Neil Young and Mumford & Sons.

Travelling across the world
Stu Larsen  was born in Dalby, a small, religious town in the Down Under. At the age of 23 he got a job at a local bank and it seemed that this would be his job for the rest of his life. But Stu had something else in his mind: he decided to leave everything behind, follow his own path and share his love for music with the rest of the world.

Wandering the streets with Passenger.
In 2010 Stu meets Mike Rosenberg, more known under the name Passenger, who becomes a close friend. The two unknown artists decide to travel togheter. When Passenger is breaking through, Stu is regularly the Support act of his friend.

In the meantime Stu is being more and more known as a singer-songwriter. He did this without a management or label. It shows that good music always finds a road.

Support tonight will be Jed Appleton, a young troubadour, hailing from the small town of Hobart, has been fascinating crowds with his stripped back and pensive songwriting. The 19 year old has captured the ears of many, from street corners to sold out theatres, and you might’ve just forgotten your beer or coffee along the way whilst tuning in to some earnest lyrics and beautifully crafted melodies
