SYMPHONIC JUNCTION #6: MY BRIGHTEST DIAMOND & RESIDENTIE ORKEST

A curator is, literally translated, a manager, overseer or custodian. In the cultural field it is a man or woman who constructs connections. This concert the curator is conductor André de Ridder. André is know for conducting great orchestras all over the world, including BBC Symphony, Britten Sinfonia, Hallé Orchestra, Trondheim, and our very own Residentie Orkest (The Hague). This night he will be exploring the boundaries of alternative, classical pop. Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond) will be assisting him with this.A combination that will surely bring a lot of unexpected musical choices with them. André is famous for his hazardous way of conducting concerts and singer Shara Worden takes her influences from Edith Piaf and Martha Graham. You could call this combination a fusion between pop and classic, but we'll be calling it 'Indie Classic'. Together, the two (together with the orchestra) will be exporing the boundaries of classical, alternative pop.
