Natascha Slagtand, the founder of Tasha’s World, has musical roots. Only a few months old she was surrounded by soul and jazz. Her album Tasha’s World was received with great enthusiasm all over the world and was crowned as one of the best releases of 2002 by magazines ‘Blues & Soul’ and ‘Echoes Magazine’. After her second album ‘World Domination’ was released in 2004, she toured all over the world: the Jazz Café in London, S.O.B’s in New York, Ahoy Rotterdam, North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague and Kaapstad (South Africa).
Her third album is about to come out. ‘Black Gold’, due spring 2013, is taking off where ‘World Domination’ landed. Tasha brings alive the complex story lines and jazzy voice, accompanied by her tight and soul breathing band.
