Led by founder members Andrew Levy and Simon Bartholomew, were at the head of emergent London acid-jazz movement in the late 80s/early 90s. Their debut single, the celebrated club classic Got To Give found a home at Chrysalis Records before the band signed to Acid Jazz Records in 1989, quickly releasing the self-titled debut album which was then picked up in the US by the legendary hip-hop label Delicous Vinyl. This led to a collaboration with A Tribe Called Quest, winning a MTV-Award and the album Heavy Rhyme Experience.
The debut went gold in the UK and its follow ups both went platinum, in the procces the scored 16 Top 40 hits including Dream Come True, Stay This Way, Midnight At The Oasis, Sometimes and Dream on Dreamer.
