The criminal and ghastly streetlife of Compton. For many years, this is the life of The Game (full name Jayceon Terrell Taylor). Such dangerous venture inevitably brought Taylor to dire situation which finally reached its culmination on October 1, 2001, the day he was shot five times by the assailants coming to his apartment late at night. Though the incident almost cost the young man his dear life as he laid in coma for two days at the hospital, it on the other hand appeared to be a blessing in disguise since this became the turning point for him to start anew. Inspired by the rappers 2pac and with helping hand from West Coast king Dr. Dre, The Game writes history with ‘The Documentary’.
With raw gangster atmospheres and support from Eminem and 50Cent, the album reaches the highest level; a hip-hop classic. Not so crazy as it seems; after 10 years we still love those beats and lyrics with references; “I’m Ready To Die without a Reasonable Doubt, Smoke Chronic and hit it Doggystyle before I go out / Until they sign my Death Certificate, All Eyez On Me / I’m still at it, Illmatic, and that’s The Documentary.”
In 2008 The Game announced that he’d be releasing “LAX” as his last studio effort. Game over? Of course not. The Game released an album in 2009 ‘The R.E.D. Album’. And the game isn’t over yet, because the rapper is back with his new album ‘1992: Block Wars’. And guess what: he’s coming to your block! On 30th of November The Game will give his first concert in Paard van Troje with a full live-band. Grab this opportunity to see The Game live now!
This is the rescheduled show of the 29th of November.
