For now we keep that line-up secret for a while, but given the great success of previous editions, this year too, the bar is high!
Acts such as Betraying the Martyrs, Inedened and Bleeding Gods climbed our stages and made for an unforgettable day. In addition to the main act, there are 15 other bands playing at The Hague Metal Fest 2020, none of which look great as headliner! Make sure you’re there!

This is the line up for the The Hague Metal Fest

It feels like yesterday that the 2nd edition of the annual metal festival took place. The festival is still engraved in many memories. And that’s not so strange, since names like Betraying the Martyrs, Ingested and Bleeding Gods then climbed the stage.

During the night of April 26th in 1986 a world-changing accident occurred at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Inspired by this catastrophe and its consequences this highly radiated German band Cytotoxin pulverized the Death Metal world in 2010.

Freedom Call Official is an act from southern Germany has been synonymous with anthemnic melodic metal, driving grooves and atmospheric messages as well as optimistic lyrics.

Frontstreet is a band formed at the end of 2015. The band has played shows throughout the country including support for Crazy Town, Fleddy Melculy, Hacktivst, Dope D.O.D. and Hollywood Undead.

Vanaheim is an energetic mix between epic pagan metal and the typical, catchy folk metal crawls deep under your skin and sets you in motion.

BAEST (DK) have successfully established themselves as one of the country’s most promising metal acts in recent years! They played festivals such as Summer Breeze, Copenhell, Roskilde, Royal Metal Fest and supported bands like Abbath, Hatebreed, Dying Fetus and Decapitated.

From The Hague, Holland hails Rages Of Sin, a deathrash act that was established back in 2009. Rages Of Sin is currently in the recording process of their (yet untitled) first full-length which is due at the end of 2019.

The influences of Voice Of Ruin, both modern and classic, have evolved over the years, but the style remains difficult to categorize. Some argue that Voice Of Ruin distills a melodic death metal, while others will find notes of groove, thrash and even black metal.

Enter the new unnerving death-metal universe of Dictated, who released a frightful crushing assault with “Phobos” on the 25th of October ’19.

The brand-new EP is a huge step forward for Dutch death/thrashers IZEGRIM. With ‘Beheaded By Trust’, IZEGRIM are bound to set international stages aflame once again!

The Voynich Code is a 4-piece modern metal band delivering brutal deathcore. Their sound is described by unpredictable breakdowns, groovy drums entwined with enigmatic and mysterious keyboards, and shreddy guitar solos, providing the best of metal, with melodic sonorities and fast death metal patterns.

Symphonic black metal from the coldest depths of Siberia. Welicoruss appeared in Europe 2 years ago and they are already playing festivals like Hellfest, Ragnarok, Wolfszeit Open Air and many more.

Abrupt Demise is death metal. The year 2019 is dominated by a Spanish and an American tour and the recording of the debut album “The Pleasure To Kill And Grind”, which will see the light of day in April 2020.

In March 2018, Align The Tide supported the legendary band ‘Mushroomhead’ on their American tour visiting several main cities. In April, the band has signed an official contract with Cleopatra Records and is looking forward to move ahead within the music scene.

“ Met Metalcon als voorloper zijn de verwachtingen voor The Hague Metal Fest hoog. Met Bodyfarm als headliner (2018) is dat gezien de opkomst gelukt. “
