  • Charity Charly & Nadine Haselier

The documentary Tra Fasi is partly filmed in Suriname and partly in the Netherlands. It follows the story of Shavero Ferrier, a versatile musician dedicated to Surinamese punk and all its subgenres. With this documentary, Charity Charly, who also presents the evening, highlights the hidden punk/rock culture and delves deeper into the stories and cultures often overlooked. She collaborates with Nadine Haselier, who brings underrepresented communities into the spotlight and to life through her cinematography. Together, the duo delivers a captivating blend of craftsmanship, curiosity, and addressing pressing issues in an aesthetically pleasing package.

  • MAHA

MAHA draws inspiration from the raw and vibrant spirit of ’70s punk. In her songs, she fearlessly tackles systemic issues, committed to amplifying underrepresented voices through personal stories. After collaborating with Bastiaan Bosma (Ploegendienst), her spoken-word performance has transformed into a punk, EBM, and New-Wave act powered by her expressive lyrics.

  • De Rotte Appels

The musical act centered around documentary and band frontman Shavero Ferrier, De Rotte Appels, will make their debut during Tra Fasi. By now, there’s no need to explain that Ferrier lives and breathes punk. This band embodies exactly that. Formed during his visit to the Netherlands, you can witness live what Surinamese punk has in store for you.

  • Ray Fuego

The frontman of Ploegendienst and one-third of the masterminds behind SMIB, Ray Fuego, will close the evening, and there’s no need to elaborate. Fuego will blow the roof off with an energetic show filled with emotionally charged lyrics over hard 808s and guitar riffs.

The target amount for the documentary has now been raised, watch the trailer here:
