Positive Vibration tour 2016: 10 years in the footsteps of the King of Reggae
The Rootsriders have been performing with their Tribute2BobMarley liveshows since 2006. You can do the math: that’s already ten years! They will like to remember this moment with amoung other things the release of their first own album with original works. 2016 will also be the year that Bob Marley released his album Rastaman Vibration exactly 40 years ago. This is the only album of Bob that made it to the American top 10. It is still unknown how the band will fill the dubble lustrum. But one thing is for sure: the music of Marley can be assigned to this tribute band.
Support: Danakil
The French band Danakil is the support act for the Tribute To Bob Marley. The former students formed a reggae band during their music studies in Paris. Since then (2000) they are inseparable from the reggae world. In 2009 they won the award for Best French Reggae. They are mostly known for their song ‘Marley’ about the life of Bob Marley.
Special Guest
As special guest Brinsley Forde will come along, founder of the most succesful UK reggae-formation Aswad, for a special homage to ‘Live And Direct’, the legendary live record, recorded during the Notting Hill Carnival in 1983.
